Health Care Consultant Services

In order to meet the needs of child care programs in regard to the medication administration regulations and the management of health care plans and issues, the Child Care Council employs a registered nurse who offers health care consultancy services to child care programs.

Medication Administration Training
Effective January 31, 2005, child care professionals must complete First Aid, CPR and Medication Administration training, as well as devise a health care plan with the assistance of a medical professional, before receiving certification to adminster medication. At the Child Care Council, our health care consultant instructs the 8-hour Medication Administration training and assists with the development of health care plans, serving as the Health Consultant of Record.
